![]() ![]() For years I tried to get into them because I love loot and working on builds but I just had no fun with mouse and KB(same reason I avoided mobas). ![]() There is just something about playing these games on controller that makes them so incredibly fun to me. I've heard the console version of diablo 3 getting a lot of praise for it's controller support in years past and I'm just glad to see the bigger games are now offering controller support on PC for POE and Diablo 4 etc. The POE implementation is not perfect cause it doesn't allow you to use both inputs at will(I like mouse for inventory) but it still makes the game fantastic to play. ![]() I played it years ago with joy2key and though it was functional it still left a lot to be desired. After buying a steam deck I discovered that path of exile had gotten official controller support and have been stuck on it ever since. For isometric games I'm not even really a big fan of WASD. The changes, in addition to the controller support, mainly involve graphic and sound improvements, plus the introduction of some quality of life options.I love loot games but really can't stand click to move. Underneath all this is still the 2000 game, following the same limited animation frame times, the same enemy behavior, and the same game systems, including inventory management, character progression, and of course, tons of loot. This Diablo II: Resurrected is a remaster, not a remake. Although dated in many ways, Diablo II is still a special game, and we're sure it will be addictive, even if the nostalgia factor also plays a part. I did play on Xbox each season but quit in season 22 when I saw people with modded gear clear 150 on day one of the seasoned. ![]() Playing with a controller was the highlight of our experience with this alpha version of Diablo II: Resurrected, but it wasn't the only thing we enjoyed. While Diablo II: Resurrected is not quite at that level, it supports gameplay with a controller, not only on the consoles, but also on the PC, and it's works great. Blizzard didn't just change the mouse and keyboard controls to work with a controller, they changed behaviors, mechanics, and even added new movements to make the game play as a great controller-based action game. This is not the first time that Diablo has been playable with a controller, but it was with the launch of Diablo III on consoles that Blizzard fully realised the potential of Diablo being played with a controller. We are fully aware that, for some fans, saying that we prefer to play Diablo (or most ARPGs) with a controller, is heresy, but it's the truth. ![]()
